Our story

About House of Lulu

House of Lulu began as a childhood dream of becoming a florist and has grown into something even more deeply personal - a tribute to family, connection, and the moments in life that shape us.

The name Lulu is inspired by the Greek word for flowers, louloudia, and is a nod to beauty, heritage and the fleeting and precious nature of life.

Growing up in a big Greek family, gatherings were a way of life, filled with warmth, generosity, and emotion. As the first child in my family, I was a flower girl five times and went to many weddings as a youngster; experiencing firsthand the magic of weddings and the importance of coming together to celebrate love.

Those moments stayed with me and ultimately inspired me to create House of Lulu.

At its heart, this is a family business, grounded in love, connection, and the belief that showing up for one another, in both life’s highs and lows, is everything. And we carry these values into every detail, and into the care and intention behind each client brief and event.

From statement weddings to bespoke birthdays and intimate gatherings, we create experiences designed not just to be seen, but to be felt. Thoughtfully curated to honour each occasion and the people at the centre of it.

Founder & Creative

House of lulu is dedicated to our loving dad, Paul Koukounaras. He celebrated life and had so much love for everyone.
